Ultrasonic Cleaning In Your Home
Your home may be clean and tidy but what about some of the items in your home. What about your silverware for example. Imagine this . . . your home is clean and ready for your guests but your silverware is not as clean as it could be. How do you clean up some of the more delicate items that are in your home?
Consider an ultrasonic cleaning tool to help you with some of the more intricate or time-consuming items that you may want to clean.

What Is Ultrasonic Cleaning?

Ultrasonic cleaning is accomplished by a process called ultrasonic cavitation in an ultrasonic cleaning solution. Cavitation is created by generator-powered ultrasonic transducers. This process creates countless small bubbles that implode and carry away contaminants when they contact the surface of items being cleaned. The bubbles can reach into small crevices to safely remove tarnish, residues, and grime. This level of cleaning is virtually impossible to access with a brush or polishing cloth.
Ultrasonic cleaning can be used with just tap water. A solvent appropriate for the item to be cleaned and the type of soiling present can enhance the cleaning result. Cleaning normally lasts between three and six minutes. The cleaning cycle can be longer, depending on the object to be cleaned.
What you can clean effectively using an ultrasonic cleaner:

  • Silverware
  • Jewelry
  • Gun Parts
  • Eyeglasses
  • Utensils
  • Dentures
  • Retainers
  • Electric Shaver Heads
  • Coins

An ultrasonic cleaner is not suitable for watches (but you can check with the manufacturer). Also, soft precious stones such as opals, pearls or emeralds may not be suitable for ultrasonic cleaning. Jewelry which is metal only will be fine.

Special Features or Characteristics to Consider

  • Tank Capacity
  • Holder accessories for special items
  • Steam
  • Heat
  • Variable Frequency
  • Noise level

You can clean up items in minutes using only tap water. However, you can clean with a more aggressive solution for really bright results.
Note – Do not use a cleaning agent with your dentures – use your regular denture cleaning tablets.
The method of using an ultrasonic cleaner to clean certain items can be more complete and easier. The more intricate the item the greater the advantages of an ultrasonic cleaner.
Ultrasonic sound waves are used to clean effectively. It is a powerful yet gentle way to clean that won’t damage your valuables. You can add some liquid dish soap to help the ultrasonic cleaning process. A small amount of dish soap helps to loosen and remove oils and grease.

A clean home means that the items in it are also clean. Your dining room is properly cleaned and your dining room table is set with tarnished silverware. An ultrasonic cleaning may be all you need to have your dining room table sparkle with extra clean silverware. Moreover, you can achieve this without the hard and time-consuming work of hand-polishing.
